  Rabbit Dental Care-Abysmal. Would not recommend unless desperate. Required rabbit to be in between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Did not perform dental on rabbit until after 3:30. Rabbit was not ready to be picked up until 7:30. Rabbit was in the worst shape I'd ever seen him. Eyes wet. Completely over drugged. The area where they had the IV bandage still is indented. Unusual. The person who handed him to me in the cage said to take the bandage off when I got home and there might be bruising which is normal. Not in my experience. I have had this procedure done 3 times at Ocean State in South Kingston, RI and never ever had an issue with the rabbits reaction afterwards. Never ever even saw a bandaged area. Never ever was the rabbit wobbly on his feet and crouched in a corner. This isn't to promote them it's just to qualify that I've had experience with this procedure. It is 12 hours later and the rabbit is still not steady. Yes, the rabbit is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing so should be fine. I cried when I got the rabbit home and saw how he was. House rabbit (free roaming). Have owned since he was a kit. 4th rabbit owned in 14 years, not a novice. One more thing, I was repeatedly told that he was eating and that is why they waited to do the procedure. My husband forgot to bring in the pellets and extra parsley so there was only a small amount of lettuce to eat. They gave him hay which he had not been eating at home because, he needed dental work and could not chew well, so I find it hard to believe that he was eating that there. I had been giving him Oxbow Critical Care both freely (mixed more firmly) and by syringe, which is information I relayed the day before when I brought him in to be checked. They did not offer the rabbit anything but what was brought in (not enough from us for a 12 hour stay which we were not aware of the length) and hay and water.
